TOPIC: The 3 T’s of Direct Primary Care: Trust, Time, & Transparency

The most recent McKinsey & Company Consumer Health Insight Survey showed consumers would actually visit their doctor more if they knew what it would cost, knew that their doctor cared about them as a person by spending more one-on-one time with them, and if scheduling appointments was quicker with shorter wait times. Direct Primary Care has grown by leaps and bounds across the county (10-fold in the last 5 years) and now is gaining traction in Iowa. Much of the national growth has been through employers looking for alternatives to a complex and costly healthcare environment, but individuals looking for more a more personalized, responsive type of care are the driving force.
