Description
Join FuseDSM and Central Iowa Center for Independent Living (CICIL) to celebrate the grand opening and open house for their Connection Center! Snacks and beverages will be provided. The ribbon cutting will occur at 4:30pm.
The CICIL Connection Center is a project that aims to provide peer support to individuals who have a disability or mental health diagnosis. The Center will offer programming to increase socialization, health and wellness, independent living skills, employment/job readiness, and self-advocacy. Peer support fosters understanding and empowerment, which leads to building confidence, wider social networks, increased community involvement and improved mental health.
