St. Vincent de Paul South Side store opening

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is excited to announce a second location on Des Moines’ south side to better serve the metro area. The new store, located at 520 Army Post Road, will have a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. The new store occupies more than 12,000 square feet, with an open and modern-feeling floor plan. In addition to great deals on clothing, furniture and household items, the store will also feature a unique Vinnie’s Vintage area, featuring pop culture memorabilia, classic clothes and furniture and other one-of-a-kind items. Similar to the store on Sixth Avenue, the new St. Vincent de Paul will have its own Social Services Department, with a food, clothing, and furniture pantries, along with a computer bank for career search and continued education. The location will also provide new car seats and cribs to new parents.
